The Trust runs guided walks over the Camden Railway Heritage Trail both for societies and groups that can muster the participants and for individuals. Numbers are limited to a maximum of 20. These have proved very popular, and provide participants with a fascinating and usually quite unexpected insight into an area many believe they know well. Any formal group interested in a guided walk should contact the Secretary. Individuals and informal groups can obtain the dates of walks here and register their participation with the Secretary. If no such dates have yet been fixed, it would be helpful if they contacted the Secretary to express their interest, so that they may be contacted as soon as dates have been decided on. The next dates for guided walks open to all are: We meet on the steps of the Roundhouse. The Roundhouse is close to Chalk Farm station on the Northern Line, and to a number of bus routes. Guided walks follow the Trail in reverse order, usually ending at Primrose Hill Tunnel East Portals, a 10 minute walk to Chalk Farm or Swiss Cottage tube stations. They take about 2½ hours, and take in sites that would either not be accessible or not apparent to the general visitor. The cost of a walk is £6 per person. Trail Guides are sold for £2 to participants. All proceeds directly support the Trust.
If either you as an individual or your group is interested in a guided walk, please contact the Secretary (0207 586 6632) for details and reservations. |
